Day 1, Monday 3rd June 2019
Sydney – Tokyo
Depart Australia today on an overnight flight to Japan’s capital city; Tokyo.

 

 

Day 2, Tuesday 4th June 2019
Tokyo
Morning arrival at Hanida airport. After clearing customs transfer to our hotel for checking in. Afternoon meeting and information session with your tour guide. Remainder of the day free to rest from the long flight. Dinner and overnight stay in Tokyo. (D)

 

 

Day 3, Wednesday 5th June 2019
Tokyo
After breakfast we will visit the Hama-Rikyu, a beautiful landscape garden in central Tokyo featuring seawater ponds which change level with the tides. We will also visit a teahouse on an island where visitors can rest enjoying the scenery. Our day continues with a relaxing Sumida River Cruise before strolling through the Asakusa Kannon Temple, one of Tokyo’s most colourful and popular Temples. We will visit the famous Nakamise Shopping Street (souvenir shopping) and our last stop will be Shinjuku Municipal Observation Building with its panoramic views of Tokyo. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. (B,D)

 

 

Day 4, Thursday 6th June 2019
Tokyo – Mt Fuji – Shizuoka
We depart Tokyo today to visit Mt Fuji 5th Station which is 2300 meters above sea level and offers a commanding view of the Fuji Five Lakes area. We will continue visiting Oishi Park before ending at lake Ashinoko. The lake was formed in the caldera of Mount Hakone after the volcano’s last eruption almost 3000 years ago and along with Mt Fuji is the modern symbol of Hakone. Early evening we will arrive at our hotel in Shizuoka prefecture for dinner and overnight stay. (B,D)

 

 

Day 5, Friday 7th June 2019
Shizuoka – Kyoto
After breakfast and checking out from our hotel we will board the technological marvel of the Shinkansen Bullet Train to Kyoto. Travelling at speeds up to 280km/h it provides an incredible experience as the Japanese country side zips by.
At Kyoto we will visit Nijo castle, the Kyoto residence of the Tokuqawa  Shogunate that is designated as an UNESCO world heritage site. We will also visit Kinkakuji or as it is commonly known The Golden Pavilion, before continuing into a Zen Temple and World Heritage site with two floors covered entirely in thin layers of pure gold and detailed architecture incorporating the 3 distinct styles of Shinden, Samurai and Zen. Our day’s tour will finish with a visit to the Togetsu Bridge, the landmark of Western Kyoto’s Arashiyama District for over four hundred years. Dinner and overnight stay in our hotel in Kyoto. Day 6, Saturday 8th June 2019
Kyoto – Nara – Osaka (B,D)
Breakfast and checking out from our hotel before visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Kiyomizu-dera Temple, one of the most celebrated Temples of Japan with its spectacular Kyoto views. We will drink to our fortune from the streams of the Otawa Waterfall where the water it is said to have multiple benefits to cause longevity, success at school and a fortunate love life.
Departing Kyoto we will drive to Nara where we will visit the famous Todaiji Temple with its massive building that houses one of Japan’s largest bronze statues of Buddha (Daibutsu). The 15m tall seated Buddha represents Vairocana and is flanked by two Bodhisattvas; along the approach to Todaiji stands theNandaimon Gate, a large wooden gate watched over by two fierce looking statues that represent the Nio Guardian Kings and are considered national treasures together with the gate itself.
Early evening we will arrive in Osaka for dinner and overnight stay. (B,D)

 

 

Day 7, Sunday 9th June 2019
Osaka – Himeji – Hiroshima
After breakfast we will depart for Himeji to visit its famous castle. The castle is regarded as the finest surviving example of prototypical Japanese castle architecture comprising a network of 83 buildings with advanced defensive systems from the feudal period and it was registered in 1993 as one of the first UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the country. We will then continue to visit the devastated city of Hiroshima which was largely destroyed when the 1st atomic bomb was dropped over the area on August 6, 1945 during WWII hostilities. After checking in at our hotel we will have dinner and stay overnight in Hiroshima. (B,D)

 

 

Day 8, Monday 10th June 2019
Hiroshima – Osaka
This morning we will visit the Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Museum which commemorates the victims of the atomic bomb used in WWII. We will also visit the Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima where one can see the torii gate on the water at high tide.  Early afternoon we will return to Osaka for dinner and overnight stay. (B,D)

 

 

Day 9, Tuesday 11th June 2019
Osaka – Tokyo – Singapore
After checking out of our hotel transfer to Osaka airport (Kansai) for our flight to Tokyo and our connecting flight to Singapore. Late evening arrival in Singapore and transfer to our hotel for overnight stay. (B)

 

 

Day 10, Wednesday 12th June 2019
Singapore
Morning city tour of Singapore driving around the civic district, passing by the Padang, the Cricket Club, the Historic Parliament House, the Supreme court and the City hall. We will also visit the Merlion Park with its mythological half/lion-half/fish creature; Singapore’s most famous icon, the Thian Hock keng Temple, the National Orchid Garden, Chinatown & Little India district.  Free time between noon and early evening to enjoy shopping and then we will experience a night safari!
We will experience the best of Singapore’s Zoo; a multi-award winning attraction. The Night safari includes a tram ride, a guided night trail and thrilling performances along with an Asian buffet dinner! Return to our hotel for overnight stay. (B,D)

 

 

Day 11, Thursday 13th June 2019
Singapore – Sentosa island
After breakfast we will depart to the beautiful island of Sentosa. Our trip to Sentosa Island starts with hotel pickup for the drive to the Singapore Cable Car. Hopping aboard our cabin we will enjoy views of the city skyline, Marina Bay and Sentosa Island as we glide above the waters of the harbor to reach the island. We’ll stop at the summit of Mt Faber, 347 feet (106 meters) high, for photo ops on the way, then we will visit the Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom for an up-close look at beautiful winged creates who flit about the lush landscape. This outdoor attraction simulates a tropical rainforest, where interactive exhibits allow you to peer closely at ladybirds, big beetles and other exotic insects. We will continue our tour by visiting the S.E.A. Aquarium where we will discover multiple marine habitats in the world’s oceans with up-close views of more than 800 animal species, including at least 200 sharks. Explore coral reefs, shipwrecks and the Discovery Touch Pool, and learn about ocean predators — from the Great Lakes of East Africa to the South China Sea. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Singapore. (B,D)

 

 

Day 12, Friday 14th June 2019
Singapore – departure
Breakfast, check out from our hotel and then transfer to Singapore airport for our departure flight. You have multiple options to continue or end your holidays after leaving Singapore:
* 1st Option // Return to Australia
*2nd Option // Continue to Athens, Greece and stay for an additional time there with the option to return to Australia with a 3 month period.
*3rd Option // Continue to Athens, Greece where you can join our 9/days Athens and Island Hopping Tour. Your return back to Australia can be organized for any time you prefer within a 3 month period.
